In-home Care Services

Personal Care

Helping a person with dementia to take a shower, groom and get dressed can be an emotionally exhausting and time consuming task, especially if they are not cooperating. An experienced care worker can assist with making this a much easier option for the carer. Alternatively, for someone living at home alone, regular visits can help clients with dementia to manage their hygiene. Domestic Assistance

We can assist with cleaning, laundry and a range of other domestic services that will make things so much easier for you and your loved one. Read more about our Domestic Help services here.

Meal Preparation

For people with dementia, maintaining good nutrition presents extra challenges. Loss of memory and impaired judgment can mean that they can forget to eat and may become poorly nourished. Our experienced staff employ a range of techniques that promote healthy eating of home cooked food.

Respite Care

We can offer care to your loved one while you take a much needed break or have commitments that need attending. This gives you the confidence of knowing that your loved one is being well cared for.

Our in-home support service provides a safe and comfortable setting. The support worker can assist with meals or prompt medication whilst providing companionship.

Lifestyle services

Social Outings and Companionship

According to studies, the progression of some forms of dementia can be slowed through mental and social stimulation.

Transport to Appointments

We provide a reliable, cost effective alternative to public transport and taxis. Clients are collected from their home by a qualified care worker, assisted to their appointment and returned home safely. Our care workers will pass on any relevant feedback. We can also provide respite care while the regular family carer attends appointments.

Shopping Assistance

Our service includes collection from home by a qualified care worker and shopping at the local shops. We will return them home safely afterwards and provide assistance with putting the shopping away.

We are flexible

Because Caring Choice is a private agency, we're able to provide care that is extremely flexible, and is not subject to some of the restrictions often imposed on services that are government funded.

That’s why we can offer:

• Care from just one hour
• A tailored plan involving regular visits
• Planned respite visits to give carers regular breaks
• Sleep-over support
24 Hour Live-In Care
